Sleepless by Koray Ozpalamutcu

I was invited to Amsterdam for a private photography tour in 2020. As part of this tour, I was aiming to shoot in different locations close to Amsterdam. These locations included Broek in Waterland, Edam, Alkmaar, Volendam and Vondelpark. After every shooting day, I was returning to the hotel that I stayed at. Even one of these days, there was an Art Exhibition in the hotel. Many art lovers gathered here for the first night of the exhibition, and luckily I was one of them. It was a surprise for me. The last two nights of my trip, I didn't want to sleep early and wanted to capture more. I continued taking photos until the first light of the morning. I enjoyed so much to capture of the city and the street lights when they reflected on the water in canals like long exposure. Especially after blue to the night even till’ sunrise. I was enjoying myself with silence and tranquility when I took photographs alone in the middle of the night. I was so excited about every photo I took in Oostelijke. Amsterdam exuded a silent story of calmness and loneliness!
